Dogs in France developed scattered, small, pale, firm, skin nodules with variable distribution but always affecting the dorsal regions of the head and trunk; STRAELENSIA mites were histologically identified in hair follicles. Foxes are the natural host for this mite, with dogs as an occasional host. |
